Crafters are on what I like to call a different “Holiday Time Zone.” While the rest of the world decorates for Christmas after Thanksgiving, we have started shopping for Christmas stuff in July. While people dust off their Halloween costumes to re-use again, crafters have been plotting out their ingenious new ideas and have them completed several weeks in advance.
Anyway, this question shouldn’t phase you:
Are you sick of Halloween yet?
The answer is probably somewhere close to yes. Not because you don’t love Halloween, but because you should have already started eagerly planning your Thanksgiving Day Feast and Festivities.
I know I am…These cute little babies will be sitting on each person’s plate!
Supplies
- Tiny Grapevine Wreaths
- Foam or Cardboard Eggs
- Spray Paint (Optional)
- Paint for eggs
- Toothbrush, paintbrushes
- Serrated Knife
I first spray painted my little wreaths…just to add a snowy, wintery effect. |
I cut slits at the top of each egg with my serrated knife. |
Just deep enough to hold a card, like this |
Then I painted each egg in the colors of my choice. |
To get the flecks, take a toothbrush, dip it in a little paint, and use your thumb to fleck specks of paint onto the eggs. |
Nestle your egg into the wreath (your nest). Get your placecard (mine is just a little piece of paper) and rest it in the slit. Use this for any holiday, just paint your eggs different colors! Red/green for Christmas…pink/white for V-day, and of course Easter. |
Or just use them as a cute decoration! You can rest these in your Christmas tree…how cute would that be?! |
Now it’s your turn to show me your latest and greatest…I wanna see all things Halloween, Fall, Recipes, Home Decor…everything!
And don’t forget to link back! I’ll pick a few of you to feature and maybe even share your tutorial on Honeybear Lane!
