Dearly Beloved
Yesterday a beloved (yet frustrating) friend passed away. He’d been struggling with the same symptoms for the last six or seven months and finally gave up the ghost. Meaning that I didn’t want to pay to get it fixed again and decided to invest that money in a new machine. This is my new sewing machine. Pretty, huh? It’s not super fancy, since I don’t really feel the need for a fancy machine (nor does my wallet.) But there are several features that are pretty dang cool, such as not having to use a foot petal to work it. Am I totally behind the times? Is this a feature that has been available for awhile? Anyway, it runs like a dream and all I’ve heard about Janome is good, great, wonderful. I still feel a little nostalgic about having to replace my first sewing machine already, but this was the first machine that I bought myself, so there is that sentiment there. I only wonder how long I can hide the digital buttons from my son.
I am looking at the Janome machines. They ARE wonderful, I must admit. I have a Kenmore machine (all Kenmore sewing machines are built by Janome) that's about 10 years old, and it's done everything I've asked it to do. 🙂
I'm currently looking at the Janome DC 2011 or a newer machine that has some upgraded bells and whistles.
Bottom line: Janome ROCKS!! ;>
