Let me introduce you to Brigitte, from Spoiled Sugar.  I actually met her because she was one of my customers!  She was very sweet and later on contacted me about featuring her site on my blog.  It’s the cutest little handmade baby gear website…

HBL:  What is Spoiled Sugar?

SS:  Spoiled Sugar is the direct result of me being bored! HA! Having triplets meant buying three of everything from department stores. It also meant baby shower gifts X’s 3 and that got boring very quickly. So I searched out handmade mommy inspired items online – and people were falling in love with what my kids were wearing/using – and so spoiled sugar was born. I wanted other moms to get the benefits of handmade items, I simply cannot say how much more fun being a parent is when you have something fun to add to parenting – handmade items!


HBL:  How did you get started with it? 

SS:  I think that was answered above – really Spoiled Sugar is my 5th baby – I was SO tired of department store stuff – I wanted my parenting style to be as unique and creative as I am – and I wanted to share it with others – so Spoiled Sugar was born!

HBL:  What is your favorite thing about your business?
I love helping other moms succeed. This business isn’t about me getting richer – but I certainly wouldn’t complain haha! It’s about bringing moms together from all over the world to showcase their items through spoiled sugar. I have the media capability – check us out on you tube ( search: Spoiled Sugar) I have the marketing ideas/venues and I  help these moms make incredible sales for their amazing talents. Moms supporting other moms – it just makes me smile.

HBL:  Tell me a little about your home life…husband, kids?
SS:  I might as well live in a Zoo. Really. That sums up what its like around here. We have Bradley, our 4 year old mess maker – and then we have the choir our 11 month old triplets. They’ve been a challenge VERY vocal very demanding babies. We love them to bits but they’re certainly a challenge! My husband wanted two kids, I wanted three – we both lost, but yet we couldn’t be happier. We’re blessed with 4 amazingly healthy beautiful children, and I have been  very blessed to find success in Spoiled Sugar that has allowed me to become a “work at home mom” and I’m enjoying every minute of it!

HBL:  I know you have triplets…how has that been challenging for you and what is the best way you’ve found of handling that?

SS:  It’s been a huge challenge. The biggest challenge though was getting them here healthy. The pregnancy was very hard, there was a whole zoo in me ! I made it to just about 35 weeks, they were all over 5lbs they all were “take home babies” and super healthy. So on the worst day I think how incredibly fortunate I was to have 3 miracles babies who are so healthy and beautiful, and then everything (screaming, hitting, biting, tantrums, messes etc…) seems all so insignificant to the blessing we have of having healthy children. We’re so lucky!

HBL:  What is the most important thing to you?

SS:  That my children are happy. I grew up in an amazing environment and my best friends are my parents. It’s an amazing feeling to know how much you’re loved and cared for. That’s what I want for my children. I want them to know and feel how much they are loved by their entire family.

HBL:  What would you do with a day off?

SS:  HA! Do moms get days off? Was that negotiated in some union contract I missed? I don’t know even know what I’d do – I’d probably “work” on my website, because it really isn’t work – it’s something I enjoy! I’d also love to stock my freezer with homemade goodies.

HBL:  Where do you see your business in the next few years?

SS:  Great question! In the next few years I hope to expand our line up to include even greater selection of mommy inspired items! Eventually I’d love to open my own Spoiled Sugar retail location! I also hope to one day have an employee who is older than 4 years old to help with packing!

  7. The prints she uses are so fun! I love the Medow Wipe Container. I always hated pulling that white baby wipe container out. Such a great idea!
