$40 Fabric Store Giveaway!!
Are you so excited??? It’s Monday!!!! Haha!! Okay, so Mondays suck but let’s have a good attitude. It’s a new week! And I get to introduce you to a lovely and brilliant new shop:
In case you are new or have been hiding under a rock, I LOVE fabric. Anyone who sews does. You just get these cravings to mix the patterns and prints together to create a beautiful and colorful work of art.
Well, my friend Amy, the owner of La Flor Fabric, feels the same way. Here’s what she has to say:
“My name is Amy Cook. I’m a wife and a mother of (nearly) 6-year-old twins who keep me hoppin’. I began sewing as a small girl, helping my mother make clothes for my dolls and stuffed animals. For most of my life, sewing was just a useful, practical skill that came in handy when my clothes needed mending or I wanted to make some (cheap) new curtains. About 10 years ago I took a quilting class and made my first quilt…I’ve been hooked ever since. Now, sewing and quilting are a passion! I can’t get enough!
When I’m not sitting in front of the sewing machine (or trying to keep up with the daily demands of home and family), I’m usually reading, watching TV (guilty), perusing the local fabric/craft stores in search of ideas, or gawking at the latest crafty goodness I’ve found on the web.
It has been my dream for at least 10 years to own a fabric shop, and thanks to the internet, I have been able to make that dream come true. With the help and support of my family, I’m fortunate to be surrounded by what inspires me most…beautiful fabrics!”

There are so many beautiful fabrics; lots to choose for myself and lots to choose for adorably chic baby projects. I think today I'd have to say that I love the "Soul Blossoms Peacock Feathers in Bright Pear"; I want to make a sundress from that print.
i REALLY like Soul Blossoms Temple Doors in Deep Water but it was really hard for me to pick just one. i think that'd make a quite yummy lil shirred dress for my daughter
