Silhouette Heat Transfer Projects and Special Offer!
I was SO excited when Silhouette contacted me last month to start helping advertise their products. I got a Silhouette for Christmas and it’s been so fun to use!
Right now they are promoting their heat transfer products, so they sent me some pink, teal, and white flocked heat transfer material to try out.
Ummm…FUN!!!!
Here’s what I made:
So I’m having another baby this November. And I used to sell onesies. So I have like a trillion blank onesies. Heat transfer is such an easy way to decorate these onesies! I made Zig Zag cuz you know I love it….
It was seriously super duper easy. I purchased a zig zag picture in the Silhouette store. Then I duplicated it in the Silhouette Studio, overlapping the zig zags…
Then you let the Silhouette do its magic (and you don’t even need to use the sticky feeder thingy which I’ll be honest, is one of my least favorite parts about craft cutters) and peel away the negative space. Put the design on your fabric and iron it on. I told you it was EASY.
Since I don’t know the sex of my baby yet I decided to hold off on using the pink. But since teal is pretty gender neutral, I made this super cute winter onesie (November baby remember?)
This one was a little bit more complex. I cut out snowflakes (from a design I bought in the Silhouette store again) on the flocked white heat transfer. This stuff is so fun because of the raised texture. Perfect for fluffy snowflakes! I put the flakes on some cute material squares and sewed them on the onesie. Then I cut out the “Let it Snow” from the teal transfer material and ironed that on after. I love this one!! And PS remember to do the MIRROR IMAGE when you do words! Lesson learned.
This was a very fun and easy project. I wish I had more time to do little frivolous projects like this but I tend to get backed up with all my other projects. (But the heat transfer is so quick that anyone can fit it in!)
Are you wishing you had a Silhouette?
Right now through the 25th you can get this awesome deal at the Silhouette online store:

How does the heat transfer stuff hold up in the wash?
Those turned out darling, Heidi! I hope you get to use some of that pink!
Super cute onesies! I love making heat transfers (although I use a cricut)! I'd love if you'd come link these up to Sew Woodsy!
