A Cozy Farmhouse Bathroom Update
Decor
The decor for this bathroom is pretty simple. I got this super cute ceramic bath set at Walmart.
It’s got that farmhouse bathroom appeal that is so on trend. I purchased new towels and washcloths. I didn’t get new hand towels or rugs because they are still pretty new from last year. But I love the little accents I added, the fake plants and art and whatnot. Fake plants are totally the way to go in a bathroom, especially one that doesn’t get a lot of light. And then there’s the cute sunburst mirror, which I actually purchased for the guest room so it’ll probably go back in there once I find a good alternative.
This room has improved a lot, although my plans don’t end here. I want to plank the rest of the walls, change out the light fixtures, add another floating shelf or two, maybe even build a faux front to the fiberglass bathtub. And eventually someday we will replace the laminate countertops with stone ones, but that is extremely low on the priority money-spending list.
Shop this room:
- Basket
- Washcloths
- Bath Towels
- Ceramic Bath Set (Pump, Stuff, Brush, Things -not pictured)
- Sunburst Mirror

I love the beach print you have in the bathroom!! Where did you get it?
It’s from Home Goods. Thanks!
What color gray is on the walls?
It’s color matched to Passive Gray Sherwin Williams.
Loved this, Heidi. Farmhouse style is beautifully clean and simple with a touch of nostalgia. Pinned and shared on my Wife Sense FB page.
what did you use for the top trim (where the towel hooks are)?
It’s a pre-primed MDF piece, approximately 1×6 or possibly 1×8, I can’t remember.
